The largest photovoltaic park in the world

2007-11-29 11:24:38

Ades is to supply the largest photovoltaic park in the world with its solar tracking systems.

Solidaridad Solar S.L., the cooperative group undertaking this project, is to create the park on a 103 hectare plot of land with 670 dual-axis 33kW Ades trackers to produce 22MW of power.

The columns of the trackers will contain a 33.3kW ADES model inverter for our tracker. Ades is proud to be involved with the construction of this unique project. The profits from the investment are being reinvested in the construction of an elderly care home, thus rehabilitating the Pazo de Maside in Pantón by creating an area for parks and the practice of sport. This commitment to renewable energies will place the region of Galicia in a leading position in terms of the development of clean energies. The objective is for 95% of energy consumption in Galicia to be provided by renewable sources by the year 2012. This target is way above the 12% recommended by the European Union. This park makes Ades the largest supplier of dual-axis solar trackers on the Iberian Peninsular, consolidating its image of quality and leading technology. This great project joins several mega-parks currently in the construction stage with the same trackers from the ADES range and closes the portfolio of orders until the summer of 2008. ADES has been marketing its Ades trackers since 2004 and will have installed surfaces in Spain corresponding to 200MW by the end of July. Endesa is committed to Ades ENDESA INGENIERA, the leading company in the energy sector, with significant environmental commitments, is committed to the dual-axis Ades solar tracking technology at its photovoltaic energy facilities. With 16MW to be installed over the next few months, Endesa is committed to ADES. The first 12.6MW plant in Hinojoso de Duero, province of Badajoz, whose construction has already begun, will include over 360 dual-axis Ades solar trackers with a 33.3kW unit power, model 7f 23m. The other 4MW plant, with 150 (patented) dual-axis Ades solar trackers, will be located in Andalusia, in the Humilladero region. The start of construction on this second project is planned for November. It will include 150 ADES trackers with a 25kW unit power, model 7f 18m.
