Autonomous trackers vs grid failures
The new ADES solar tracker makes all its movements through a battery system that provides the necessary voltage and current for its appropriate functioning.
Thanks to our experience in the field, we have detected the need to isolate solar trackers from the grid. This solution guarantees the protection from disturbances of the electrical grid (voltage drops, peaks etc.) that destabilize the trackers.
Besides reducing the required electrical devices facing the AC systems, this system allows us to undertake the task of putting into service and maintenance with gather simplicity, implying a reduction of the costs and of the electrical failures due to external factors.
The system is designed to have two days autonomy, providing an independence of the grid isolating of the possible disturbances and providing higher security of the installation to keep the trackers on alert even in case of the network failure (storms, winds ....).

SolarFarm: shadows simulation program
SOLARFARM provides a graphical 3D space that allows analyzing and optimizing photovoltaic parks designed with ADES Solar Trackers. The optimization process helps to obtain higher production facing lower occupancy of the land. The application lets you introduce the actual state of the topography of the land giving the higher accuracy in the shadows prediction.
The program simulates a model which gives projections of shadows in real time, calculating all possible interferences of the sun beams and the different elements (ADES Solar Trackers, buildings or obstacles existing in the installation). These interferences are treated in a very visual way, through a series of colours and geometric shapes. SOLARFARM marks exactly where the problem is.
On the other hand, the program allows us to study the daily behaviour of the shadows of each individual tracker. With this information you will predict with extreme detail which trackers will have a higher production and explore possible solutions for the trackers which may suffer more shadows.

Tracking system
The procedure is carried out by electronic card that performs the astronomic calculation of orientation, depending on the geographic location of the tracker. The program contemplates the tracker “lying down” during the night and in gale force winds as a protective measure and to avoid the theft of panels.
Traction clamp: ADES exclusive technology (patented)
Solar trackers perform step-by-step movements and spend more time closed down than actually in action, making it necessary to use a negative brake.
This system reduces the maintenance requirements of the tracker by eliminating the motor reducers and using the pure tangential force maximizing the tracker’s energetic performance.
Thus, instead of braking, the tractor clamp increases the reliability of the system by sliding, thereby guaranteeing that the system will be more profitable.
